The Rose Garden

Over two hundred roses.

The garden is why we're here. More than 200 roses and swaying palms wrap the lodge in colour and scent - a peaceful escape, moments from the middle of Kwekwe.

A restful guest room with soft floor-length drapes and warm lighting.

A garden to wander

Colour and scent, all year round.

Set right in the grounds, the rose garden is open to every guest to enjoy at their own pace - a slow loop before breakfast, an afternoon in the shade, a quiet moment at dusk.

Over the years the collection has grown to more than two hundred roses, planted among palms and tended with real care. It's what makes a stay here feel less like a lodge and more like a small, private retreat.

Come and see it

In the garden

Small pleasures, all around you.

200+ roses in bloom

More than two hundred rose plants, in colour for much of the year - the fragrant heart of the lodge and the reason for its name.

Palms & shaded corners

Tall palm trees and quiet, planted corners give the garden shade and structure - somewhere to sit with a book or a cool drink.

Slow mornings & birdsong

Take your breakfast coffee out among the roses and let the morning start gently, to birdsong rather than traffic.

The evening scent

As the day cools, the roses release their perfume - the loveliest time to wander the paths before dinner.
